  • 18 days in and I give up.

Really?  Yeah.  It's me!  I'm here!

Why can't I do the things I promise?  Even if it's just to write a simple 'not dead' into my blog?  Oh, I don't know.  I have horrific time management issues, I suppose.  Thought the laptop would be my time savior, but it hasn't been.  The holidays are only somewhat of an excuse, but what about the months before, and since?  I am an awful person, and I accept full responsibility.

Is what I do better than blogging?  No. More useful?  Not really.

So, I won't bore everyone with a 'here's what's been going on for the last, oh, three to four months' spiel.  It's nothing much more than what you all did, I would imagine.  In a nutshell, we had the holidays, I've been working like crazy, don't have cancer, and celebrated another anniversary.  The family is same as usual, brother's an ass, and my aunt is starting chemo.  I haven't lost any friends that I'm aware of, and I read a few books.  All good and normal things.

The only thing I'll say about Christmas is that I got some cool stuff, but pretty much the triumph is that yours truly is going to go see Ms. Spears when she comes to town in April.  Don't hate.  Don't act offended. You KNOW you would go if given the opportunity, it's a trainwreck with potential live animals involved.  Psh.  Awesome.

24 and Lost are (well, will be) back, and somehow, I feel as if a void has been filled.  Like life makes a little more sense again.  Feel free to join us on our sofa if you are a fan as well, or, as my amazing Luke does, text me complaints/concerns/quandaries.

And, here we are, finding myself with yet again, nothing to say.  I guess that's why I've been absent.  Lost my voice, so to speak.  That, or nothing worth talking about has happened.  And I know that isn't true, but yet it never seems to be anything worth discussing.  Or I forget.  Which is entirely possible.  So, you'll get an update, and I'm sure that there will be noteworthy things occurring soon.  There just have to be

    1028- Anberlin's New Surrender

1029- Ben Folds' Way to Normal

    1030- Justin Nozuka's Holly

    1031- Duffy's Rockferry

1032- The OSU Marching Band Hang on Sloopy - game day necessity

    1033- Snow Patrol's A Hundred Million Suns

1034- The Twilight Soundtrack - yeah yeah yeah.  Shut it.

    1035- Britney Spears' Circus

1036- Ray LaMontagne's Gossip in the Grain

    1037- Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak

    you are the best thing-

  • blogging from work, sort of.

Our system is down (doo doot do doo doot), so I've got nothing to do but surf the internet.  But this isn't a real post, I'm not going to say what I'm doing, or things that have happened, because well, that's a lot, and I need time to formulate a good way to throw it together.  So you get a thing I found while exploring the world wide web.  Should the system remain down, you might get a real post =)

1026- Sigur Ros' Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalust

1027- Charlotte Sometimes' Waves & The Both of Us

And yes, a survey.  I don't really have any news, other than I've survived another year at the firm, and honestly, right now, I'm amazed at that fact.

Go see The Dark Knight.  Do it.

1)Are you really ready for 81 questions? Well, I signed up for this shiz, so I guess so.

2)Was your last boyfriend/girlfriend a mistake?  Hmm.  Who was my last one?  Oh.  Ohhh.  Um.  Hmm.  Let's agree with the 'learning experience'.  I learned that I'm an idiot.  And a few other things.

    3)how old are you? 28

4)Who did you last say I love you to? Kent, when he left for work this morning.

5)Do you regret it? Saying I love you?  Absolutely not.

12)Are you planning on kissing someone in the next 24 hours? I would assume as much.

11)Do you play an instrument? Well, I played trumpet.  It might not work out as well now.  Not that it did then.

12)Do you bite your nails? Not usually.  Sometimes, if I'm really angry.

13)When was the last time you were disappointed in someone?  Other than myself? Oh, let's see.  Probably Wednesday.

14)Tom from MySpace is about to go to jail what's your first thought?  About time.

15)Do you have an attitude? Some might say it's 'sarcastic' even.  Ha!

28)Have you ever started a rumor?  Most likely.  Unintentionally though.

29)Are Barbie & Ken bad influences on people?  Could be, with their permanent sunshiney dispositions...

30)Do you regret anything from your past? who doesn't, really?

    Where's 31??

32)Do you want to have kids? As long as my husband doesn't pick the names.

33)Ever kissed somebody that name starts with a J? Honestly, odds were slim on any letter here.  Unbelievable.  Yes.

35)Do you have piercings? my ears

36)Want any more? I want my nose pierced.

50)Are you secretly in a porno? Have you seen me?  No one would pay for that.  Or even download for free.

51)Do you believe your ex thinks about you? A couple of them might.  In a non-malicious, completely innocent way.

    Where's 76??

77)Would you change your name? I always wanted to change my middle name when I was younger, and I like to change my name at work a lot.  Currently, I go by Guadalupe.  Which some might say is better than Erin's name, Wharrgarbl.  They would be wrong though.

  • Vacation.

Well, I guess it is time to update.  Kent is currently playing Metal Gear Solid 4 and enjoying our new surround sound (which is WAY more than our apartment can handle, but oh well), so I've got some time.

    But first:

    1021- Gavin Rossdale's Wanderlust

1022- Ingrid Michaelson's Girls and Boys (yeah, finally, I know)

    1023- Coldplay's Viva La Vida

1024- Outkast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below (a whole blog entry in itself)

    1025- Fischerspooner's The Other Side

Story from vaca goes a little something like this.  We met up with Kent's brother and sister-in-law and we were on our way to downtown to wander and whatnot.  Well, brother goes the wrong way, and then sister-in-law has to use the facilities, so we stop at a travel stop for restrooms and directions.  Upon entering the facility, she finds out that the one restroom is out of order, but another 'lady' says that there is a functional bathroom somewhere else.  She goes in there, only to find said 'lady', on the toilet, work boots sticking out from under the door, which is WIDE OPEN, grunting and cussing up a storm while she does the 2.

It's not really a great story when retold.  But there really isn't more to it than that.  It was pretty funny to hear right after the fact though, especially because my sister-in-law was about ready to puke and pass out all at once.

Also learned on vacation:  no gas stations have hooks in the restrooms for purses.  Why is this like this?  It is for girls.  Girls have purses.  Why is this a hard link to make?  Honestly.

Wanted is awesome.  They drop the F bomb a bit more than I feel is necessary, but I still liked it.  Also, is it possible for Eddie Murphy to be in a movie where he just plays one person?  Maybe Beverly Hills Cop 4 we'll get to see that.  Seriously, someone needs to get over himself.

Sorry if this is disjointed.  I may have been drinking.

That was when I ruled the world-

  • back from the south

Just got home from a long weekend/family reunion in North Carolina.  Do I have stories?  Surprisingly, only one that's worth sharing.  But right now I'm up to my knees in laundry and tiredness.  But I'm back, and still alive, and so is all of my family, so I guess it was a win all around =)
